Bud Grant, 83, goes short-sleeved at frigid Vikings game

There were dozens of former NFL greats on the frozen field of TCF Bank Stadium on Monday night as part of a celebration to honor the 50 greatest Minnesota Vikings of all time. And 83-year-old Bud Grant was tougher than them all.

Former players on hand included Alan Page, Fran Tarkenton and Ahmad Rashad, but the introduction of the team's former coach was the highlight of the memorable halftime ceremony. Just like he used to do on those frigid days at Metropolitan Stadium, Grant went without a jacket and stood on the field in short sleeves, all while receiving a standing ovation from the crowd.

Then his players gave him the best tribute of all:

Grant didn't even give off a hint that it was chilly outside. Great, great moment.
