Once news broke on Sunday night that Osama bin Laden had been killed, people began to congregate outside the White House in the lead-up to President Obama's big announcement. And one of the first revelers at the gates to establish the celebratory scene, that would include what looked like hundreds, dressed for the occasion by wearing his U.S. national team Jozy Altidore No. 17 shirt.
He seemed to set a trend, too. Others soon showed up in their own national team shirts and jackets in an attempt to show their patriotism or maybe their confusion that this was some kind of belated World Cup party taking place.
Seriously, though, everyone knows that real fans wear the 1994 World Cup denim kit to celebrate the death of a terrorist outside the White House.
