You’ll never eat a six-pound burrito at the Vegas NASCAR Cafe again

The Sahara Casino, one of the most famous landmarks in Las Vegas history, has closed its doors. If you're a fan of the Rat Pack, Elvis, the Beatles or JFK assassination theories, that's significant, but what about NASCAR fans? Well, as it turns out, the Sahara also hosted the Vegas outpost of the NASCAR Cafe, a NASCAR memorabilia joint most famous for one thing: The Bomb.

What is The Bomb? A burrito the size of a newborn baby. And unlike many of our metaphors around these parts, that one's spot-on: The Bomb is ? well, was ? a six-pound burrito for a mere $19.95. If you ate the whole thing in 90 minutes, you got a T-shirt and immortality. If you failed ? and many did, including the guy who hosts "Man v. Food Nation" ? you had to take a photo wearing a pink T-shirt that read "Certified Weenie."

Oh, and one other thing: If you did win the challenge, you got an unlimited-access ticket to the Sahara's roller coaster, which, as you'll see in this video, is exactly what you want to be doing after eating a six-pound burrito:

Score another loss for American culture.
