As Serena Williams demonstrated earlier this week at the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute gala benefit, attendees of the royal wedding don't have an exclusive monopoly on ridiculous-looking hats.
The tennis star attended the benefit honoring late designer Alexander McQueen in a get-up that wouldn't have been out of place at Westminster Abbey on Friday:
It's like she went hunting for albino Snuffleupagus.

But as much as anyone could work a dress that looks a distant relative to Bjork's infamous Oscar dress, Serena does. She's hit or miss when pushing the boundaries of fashion and though this is a ridiculous get-up, give her points for pulling it off. The same can't be said about other "out there" dresses she's worn in the past, like this one from the 2004 ESPY's:
It's all about perspective though. Compared to her sister, Serena dresses as conservatively as Susan B. Anthony.
