It's Easter Weekend, and while you may or may not spend Sunday in church and/or gobbling chocolate eggs, what's certain is that you won't be watching a Sprint Cup race. The series takes the weekend off, but there'll still be racing aplenty.
The Nationwide and Trucks series head to Nashville Superspeedway to bring a little horsepower to Music City. Nashville, as you'll recall, is where Kyle Busch made few friends in the music world when he destroyed the Sam Ash guitar he was given as a trophy for winning the Federated Auto Parts 300 back in 2009.
This'll be a debate for another day, but there's the very real possibility that the Nationwide champion won't win a single race this year. Currently, Jason Leffler is leading the points, with Justin Allgaier, Elliott Sadler, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., and Reed Sorenson. However, that's because certain other names aren't eligible to win the championship.
Some of those other names: Kyle Busch, Joey Logano, Brad Keselowski and Carl Edwards, all of whom are on the entry list for this weekend's race, and at least one of whom will surely figure in the final outcome. (Busch, who may need therapy or something for his love of racing, will also run in the Trucks race.)
The Truck race, officially named the Bully Hill Vineyards 200, will be on SPEED on Friday night at 7:30 Eastern, with the Nashville 300 rolling on ESPN at 2:30 Saturday. And if you play your cards right, you can convince your non-NASCAR-loving family that there's a race on Sunday too, and snag a couple extra free hours.
