Photo: Clayton Kershaw boogies down with African children

Clayton Kershaw's fancy footwork has been everywhere this offseason.

First, the young Los Angeles Dodgers ace was married to his wife, Ellen, in December and a video of the couple's choreographed routine to an Usher tune zoomed around the Internet.

Now, Clayton and Ellen are on a goodwill mission to Zambia and this picture of him breaking out his Bushesque dance moves with some local children is getting some bloggy play.

This is Clayton's first trip to Africa, but Ellen has been there four previous times and sees it as her life's work. As she told MLB.com's Ken Gurnick last month:

"This is something I can do while Clayton is pursuing his passion of baseball. On this trip, our passions will collide. This is his way of showing that he supports me. Every season, I come back and show him pictures of all these girls and he's curious why I keep going back. My hope is that we can combine our two passions and utilize these opportunities to make a difference."

Hey, even a Giants fan can agree that it's nice to see the Kershaws putting in some time and money to make a positive impact in the lives of others. (Though the Dodgers' rivals might not be as pleased to learn that Clayton packed a pitching tarp for the trip so he can get his offseason throwing in.)

At any rate, you can follow the daily happenings of the trip — as well as any of Clayton's future rug-cutting — over at Arise Africa
