Usually it's the players who fight back against the human headless chickens who decide to invade the pitch, this time a manager issued a bit of vigilante justice...and went a smidge too far.
Just after Ankaragucu scored a goal in Sunday's Turkish Super Lig match against Manisaspor, a fan decided to annoy everyone and celebrate on the pitch. Ankaragucu manager Umit Ozat did not appreciate this and threw his clipboard at him. This was a warning the fan did not obey. Instead, the guy charged toward Ozat and attempted to deliver a flying kick. Ozat knocked him to the ground, though, and as others held the man down, he got a little caught up in the moment and stomped on the guy's head before being pulled away.
While defending yourself against pitch invaders is always good, stomping on their skulls while others hold them down is usually frowned upon in most circles, so Ozat might have a few matches off in the near future.
Ankaragucu ended up losing 3-1 after two late Manisaspor goals.
