Manny Pacquiao's speed was the story of his Saturday win over Antonio Margarito. By the looks of Margarito's face and the recent news that he suffered a broken orbital, maybe it's time to talk about "Pac-Man" as one of the best power punchers in the world too.
One uppercut in the fourth round essentially ended any real hopes of Margarito pulling the upset. The Mexican's face blew up immediately. Margarito took 401 shots to the head and had absolutely no chance of winning the fight in the final three rounds, yet his corner refused to stop the fight.
Robert Garcia said he would never do that to Margarito. Isn't it the corners job to protect the fighter from himself? Freddie Roach went one step further.
"He's a very tough guy," Roach told ESPN.com. "I was surprised how tough he was. He has the worst corner. They probably ruined his career by not stopping the fight."
Margarito will undergo facial surgery on Tuesday to repair the damage. He's only 32 but this is the kind of fight that will takes it toll for years to come.
After hearing this latest update you wonder if HBO's Max Kellerman would like to ammend his statements about Pacquiao possibly looking vulnerable to Floyd Mayweather?
