LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. — It's spring training for everyone, except possibly for this Atlanta Braves fan. He's ready for the regular season right now with a sign that taunted the visiting New York Mets.
The theme, in case you are unfamiliar, seizes on whatever in the world has been happening with Hollywood's Charlie Sheen. Though he might have jumped the shark during a recent USTREAM netcast from his home, Sheen has been ranting non-stop about "winning" his life from various trolls and haters.
The Braves definitely have an upper hand on the Mets the past few seasons, going from 90 losses in 2008 to 91 victories and a playoff appearance in 2010. New York, meanwhile, has finished fourth in the NL East the past two seasons. The times are much happier where the Braves train — at Disney World, the happiest place on Earth.
You'd have to be from Pluto — get it? — to ignore the Braves' pitching prowess. ESPN's Linda Cohn (lettin' 'er rip) might be out of luck, with Brandon Beachy and Mike Minor having the inside edge for fifth starter.
The top four are hard to touch, with Tim Hudson, Derek Lowe, Jair Jurrjens and "Cyborg" Tommy Hanson giving the Braves the best starters in the division that don't ply their trade in Philly. Atlanta's pitching coach is not really Pluto, but instead Roger McDowell. He's goofy sometimes, or was, when he played.

The Mets had a scare during pregame when shortstop Jose Reyes got hit in a sensitive spot.
Reyes was OK eventually, leading off the game and playing shortstop as scheduled. But he got very little sympathy from his team at the moment of impact. There were calls to "rub some dirt on it," and even manager Terry Collins joked that he would send in a trainer for a rubdown soon. Oh, you boys.

Hall of Famer Don Sutton was on the radio mike for the Braves. Did you know the origin of Matt Kemp's nickname — "Bison" — goes back to Sutton saying that Kemp was like a "big, stomping buffalo."

Braves slugger Chipper Jones hit a home run and fielded his only chance on defense at third base. He said it was the first day since ACL surgery that he hadn't felt any pain in his knee. Later Monday, we'll have a feature on Larry Wayne Jones.
